My modest little photography business has kept me very busy, and it has been more than a year since I last visited Lata Kijang. Last weekend, Simon and Chen asked me to join them for a day trip.

KL City folks, work out and rewind in fancy fitness centres and spas. But for me, de-stressing was this orang asli kid looking through an opening of her family house, with her pet monkey.

It is the raining season now. River water level is higher.

 

But still no problem for the modified Toyota Land Cruiser II

 

Even better if the Land Cruiser II comes with tractor type tyres.

 

Simon's LC II, can't get grip with normal road tyres.

 

Took him 3 attempts to get out of the ditch.

 

Heavy rain leading to strong river current washed away what used to be a bridge here.

 

This bridge is still standing but with holes everywhere. Crossing this bridge is more exciting than a roller coaster ride when you consider it can break anytime.
